Birds nest fabric brooch
Description
This brooch has been lovingly crafted in the birds nest pattern using fabric and ends bits of locally grown fiber. The fabric is a leftover piece of an old get gorgeous Benares silk brocade saree which was sent to the recycling center. The colour is a deep wine with a floral motifs on it. Since it is an old fabric it contains real zari (real metal yarn). The egg had been recreated using a compressed silver bead which is made by recycling bits of silver.
The brooch is backed by a felt piece and a brooch pin.
