Recycled Art - Animal Sculptures of Amazing Ingenuity, Humour and Beauty. UniquEco is an amazing recycling project that was set up in East Africa as very clever way of dealing with the thousands of rubber flip-flop pieces that were being washed up on the beaches and as a way of providing an income for the local people. Pollution on the beaches is a big problem and the locals needed to do something with the sudden growth of rubbish on their beaches. UniquEco collects the flip flops, cleans what they find and recycles them into the most amazing products. UniquEco is drawing attention to environmental problems, promoting recycling in a creative and delightful way and generating employment for over 150 people.
